Tanja Dogandžić (28), who is from Sarajevo, and her sister Vanja make unique jewelry, while Alen Jusupović (23) owns a donkey farm in Zavidovići. Seemingly, these stories are unrelated. What they have in common is the fact that these two young people managed to win the entrepreneurial initiative competition and obtained the funds for starting a small business. This is how they ensured a job not only for themselves but for other persons from their surroundings as well.

Tanja has been awarded for the best business plan and has obtained the funds for expanding her unique jewelry making business, while Allen got the funds to start a donkey dairy farm. Tanja is planning to open a booth in Ilidža where she would be selling unique jewelry pieces and bags made by deploying unique techniques. Alen's family business would incorporate the following: donkey milk production, rural tourism and goat breeding.

Tanja's and Allen's message to young people is to be brave, to apply for similar competitions and to be persistent, because this is the only way to accomplish what one desires for.

The initiative Equal opportunities for men and women in politics, as part of which Tanja obtained the funds, is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation - SDC, and is coordinated by the TPO Initiative Foundation in partnership with the Institute for Youth Development KULT. The program I have an idea, whereby Allen ensured the funds, is part of the "Student entrepreneurship" funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and it is implemented by the Centre for Research and Studies GEA in cooperation with Sarajevo University, Banja Luka University and Mostar University.
