Oxfam and the British Embassy in BiH are notifying civil society organizations in BiH that the deadline for submitting applications for participating in "Strengthening Activism of Civil Society Organizations in BiH" is extended to 20 November 2013. The basic goal of this projectis to improve abilities of civil society organizations in BiH to organize and conduct advocacy campaigns, as well as to secure funds for organizing these campaigns.

The project will be conducted in two following phases over a period of 18 months: phase one is training, while phase two is mentorship and guidance.

The goal of the training is to improve capacities and skills of participants to plan and organize advocacy campaigns. The training course will be focused on empowering leaders of civil society organizations in analyzing political and social changes in BiH, as well as equipping them with tools and methods for developing and implementing advocacy strategies which suit the BiH context. Based on the criteria of this call, 15 participants will be elected.

After completing the training course, the candidates will be expected to present their ideas for an advocacy campaign, which will be conducted in the upcoming period. During this project, 5 out of the 15 presented ideas will be given support through mentorship and guidance in planning and implementing the campaign, as well as in communication with the media.
